M/S Telemarken
M/S Telemarken
M/S «Telemarken» was built at Västerviks new wharf in Sweden in 1951 and was one of the boats in the Stockholm skerries. The boat’s first name was M/S «Freja» and was eventually re-named M/S «Kärsön».
In 1988 the boat was put into use on The Telemark Canal and given the name M/S «Telemarken», after one of the earlier boats. The boat is 26 m long, 5,6 m wide and lies 1,6 m deep in the water. M/S «Telemarken» takes 140 passengers and runs in regular routes between Akkerhaugen and Lunde. The boat is owned by Telemarksbåtene AS and Norsjø Hotel.
