The Telemark canal is open for traffic during the summer months.

17. - 23.June: Konvoi locking*
24.June - 11.August: 09:00 - 18:00
12.- 21. August: Konvoi locking*
The rest of the year you must make appointments for the locks at Skien/Løveid, tel: +4797089449 / +4791512604. All other locks are closed.
*Konvoi locking must be ordered at the latest the day before at tel: +4797089449.
Fees
Prices for leisure boats. Dinghy is added to the length of the boat
- Skien - Norsjø/Notodden: NOK 800,-/1.000,-/1.200 (return) under 8m, 8-12m, over 12m
- Skien - Norsjø - Dalen: NOK 1.900,-/2.200,-/2.500,- (return) under 8m, 8-12m, over 12m
Bridges:
Two bridges in Porsgrunn, free height is 13 m and 8 m. VHF channel 12 or phone 35 93 16 08
Swing bridge in Kviteseid, free height is 4 m, open between 09.00 - 11.00 and 16.00 - 18.00 ifrom 24.6 - 11.8. Opens by watchman on signal.
